Kansas's existing student data privacy statute governing how operators of websites, online services, and apps may handle K-12 student data. Prohibits sale of student personal information, targeted advertising to students based on their data, and use of student information for non-educational purposes. EdTech vendors serving Kansas districts must comply with student data handling and use restrictions as a baseline.
