AB 406 (2025)
Prohibits AI use by school counselors, psychologists, and similar mental health professionals in K-12, except for administrative tasks. Also requires the state to develop AI guidance specifically for K-12 schools. Critical flag for any AI-assisted SEL, counseling triage, mental health screening, or student wellness products — clinical-adjacent AI in school mental health contexts is effectively off the table in Nevada.
